“Father’s Strange Actions Lead to Tragic Outcome in Idaho Abduction Case”
The tragic story began when Jeremy Best was seen walking through the Swan Valley general store on Thursday, fully nude.
A security camera recorded Best slouching at the counter, and as he tried to obtain a cigarette, several individuals intervened and escorted him out of the store. After reports of the disturbance, deputies from the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office arrived, and Best was taken to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for evaluation.
Center for a psychiatric assessment. The abduction took place mere hours after the original incident at the shop, but Best was freed that same day despite his unpredictable behavior.
The Teton County Sheriff’s Office reports that it got an open line 911 call from the Best residence at around 11:40 p.m. that day. Whether Randall made the 911 call or not is unclear.
