A 33-year-old woman who pretended to be a high school student for a year in order to cope with her past traumas was arrested.

For almost a year, a 33-year-old woman reportedly pretended to be a high school student. Canton, Massachusetts resident Shelby Hewitt was able to avoid detection at many schools.

She was charged with enrolling in three separate high schools—Brighton High, Jeremiah E. Burke High, and English High in Boston—using fictitious documents and phony identities.

Shelby Hewitt, 33, reportedly pretended to be a teenager for more than a year at three separate Massachusetts high schools. Shelby, who was in her 30s, deceived her close friends, teachers, and pupils with her complex hoax.

Janell Lamons, a teenage student who attended the accused’s school, told NBC10 Boston, “I’m still waiting for answers from BPS because.

I feel like they’re not doing anything about the situation, and I also just feel like they’re playing games.” “We are the victims, not her,” said her mother, Robin Williams.
