A guy acquitted of manslaughter after his girlfriend accused him of being responsible for her suicide note

Although he was found guilty of assault, a man who was held accountable for his girlfriend’s death in her suicide note was exonerated of manslaughter.

Following years of alleged domestic abuse, Ryan Wellings, 30, was charged with driving his girlfriend Kiena Dawes to her death.

He is the first to stand trial before a jury on charges of murdering his spouse illegally after she committed herself as a result of domestic abuse. Dawes, 23, committed herself.

On July 22, 2022, and left a letter saying things like “I was murdered” and “Wellings had ‘killed’ her. Before killing herself, she left her and Wellings’ daughter, who was nine months old, with a friend.

It is believed that after a last beating that required hospitalization, Dawes submitted a statement to Lancashire Police. The mother-of-one felt let down by the authorities.
