The Beaulieu family acquired Sadie, a thirteen-year-old border collie-dalmatian-shepherd cross, when she was eight weeks old. However, she looked to be devastated by the father’s unexpected death.
According to Julia Beaulieu, their dog lay down next to her husband and pressed her nose on his hand after the paramedics stopped attempting to resuscitate him.
Sadie seemed to be suffering as well, as Julia was finding it difficult to deal with the unexpected death of her husband.
As usual, she would wait for her owner to pull into the drive while gazing out the window. Because she was unable to eat for over ten days, Sadie dropped ten pounds.
