A young man was tragically killed in a crash while in “autopilot” mode, and Tesla blames him for it.

A lawsuit was brought against the electric vehicle company by the parents of a Tesla driver who was killed in a horrific accident.

Elon Musk, the company’s CEO, was also held accountable for making false statements on the car’s self-driving capabilities.

The Genesis According to a complaint filed by his parents, Eduardo and Maria, Giovanni Mendoza-Martinez, 31, sadly died on February 18, 2023, when his Model S collided with a fire vehicle close to San Francisco.

While his brother, Caleb, escaped the encounter with non-life-threatening injuries, the dead victim was driving and sustained fatal injuries. The crash also resulted in minor injuries to four firemen.

The Mendoza family’s lawyer, Brett Schreiber, told Bored Panda that “the time is coming due for Tesla to be held to account.”
