Actor James Earl Jones, who was best known for giving strong voice roles to Mufasa in The Lion King and Darth Vader in Star Wars, departed this life at the age of 93.
Officials attested to Deadline that the actor passed away quietly at his Dutchess County, New York, home.
Jones was reared by his grandparents in Dublin, Michigan, after being born in Arkabutla, Mississippi, on January 17, 1931.
He had trouble stuttering when he was younger, but he overcame it to become one of the most well-known and recognizable voices in movie history.
“I had a stammer. In a 1996 interview, Jones remembered that she was unable to speak. “Therefore, I was silent during my first year of school and remained so until I entered high school.”
