In 1997, re-examined a 2022 interview with Time magazine in which she publicly voiced her happiness at leaving the talk-show circus as the Hot Topics blazed on the program.
“I’ve always believed in having friends at work, and if there are no friends around, I won’t stick around,” Behar said. “So, people questioned, ‘Were you alright with that?’
When I was dismissed from this program the previous time. And you know what? I felt joy! Why remain when all of my friends have already said goodbye? That’s how easy it is.”
