According to local publication the New Canaan Advertiser, 75-year-old Sexiest Man Alive, who appeared in PEOPLE’s 1999 Sexiest Man Alive, purchased his home in the town of New Canaan for $10.8 million in 2022, which was $50,000 more than the price he sold it for.
According to the publication, the singer-songwriter duo had already spent $16.5 million for it 17 years before, and they had also sold it at a substantial loss.
After two years of living there with his wife, Alejandra Silva, Gere allegedly had plans to convert the house into a farm.
The 1938 home has many gardens, a pool, six bedrooms, eleven bathrooms, and a guest cottage with three bedrooms.
A prior ad with Sothebys said that the property is 32 acres in size and has “period details” throughout.
