After suffering a gym accident and having her “neck cracked” at a chiropractor, a 29-year-old lady passed away.

Leila Benyounes, the assistant coroner for Gateshead and South Tyneside, concluded that Kowalczyk was probably susceptible to arterial dissections due.

To an unidentified connective tissue condition. The chiropractor was unaware of the 29-year-old’s medical history, which included joint hypermobility and migraines.

On September 26, 2021, Kowalczyk was working out at the gym when she noticed a crack in her neck, which the study states was probably caused by bilateral arterial dissections.

This break in the carotid artery’s layers in the neck might result in potentially fatal diseases including a stroke or a brain hemorrhage. The 29-year-old went to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead.

The day following her accident and got a CT scan, but she departed before a lumbar puncture could be performed since she had looked into other options while she was there.

Kowalczyk’sustained acute dissections in the same region as the prior dissections during the chiropractic manipulation’ during the fourth session, according to the coroner’s report.

At her daughter’s birthday celebration, the 20-year-old mother fainted and her away “instantly” after breathing in helium.
