TMZ has learned that Ángel Salazar, who was most renowned for his role as “Chi Chi” in the iconic criminal film “Scarface,” has passed away.
Ann Wingsong, Salazar’s closest friend and representative, informs TMZ that the actor passed away in his slumber at his friend’s Brooklyn residence over the weekend.
According to Wingsong, the acquaintance visited Salazar in a room on Sunday morning and discovered his corpse in the bed.
Salazar’s representative disclosed that he was diagnosed with cardiac conditions; however, no cause of death was disclosed.
Salazar secured the role of Chi Chi, the devoted subordinate of Pacino’s renowned Tony Montana character, in the 1983 Brian DePalma-directed film “Scarface” at an early stage of his acting career.
