Despite receiving an incredible amount of nominations, Beyoncé did not win any of the 17 People’s Choice Country Awards; her consolation award was an onstage shoutout from Shaboozey.
More accolades than any other female artist were up for grabs on Thursday, but Queen Bey left empty-handed after missing out on titles including People’s Artist, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Female Artist.
In terms of economic success, Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” country album is on par with Taylor Swift’s and Billie Eilish’s albums; but, the money isn’t transferring into accolades.

Even though Beyoncé was unable to escape the spotlight at the awards event, she was acknowledged in her acceptance speech when Shaboozey took home the Best New Artist trophy.
