Thomas Ceccon is making good on his threat to openly criticize the Olympic Village by laying down on a blanket and getting some sleep.
Underneath a park seat, with his rucksack down as a cushion, the Italian swimmer was seen snoozing outside in a video posted by Husein Alireza, a rower from Saudi Arabia.
The message, which Alireza titled “Rest today, conquer tomorrow,” is becoming viral online, mostly because the man openly bemoaned the village’s plight.
After bringing home medals in the men’s 100-meter backstroke and the men’s 4×100-meter freestyle relay, Ceccon was unable to make it to the finals in the men’s 200-meter backstroke.
