Donald Trump Florida Man’s “Vicious Threats” to President on Facebook Lead to Arrest

Originally making “violent threats” to President Donald Trump on Facebook, a Florida man is now behind prison.

Following an inquiry starting days earlier, Shannon Deparoro Atkins was arrested Friday night during a traffic check. Following their conversation with Atkins,

West Palm Beach Police Chief Tony Araujo reportedly told the media Saturday that he had sent a series of tweets regarding Trump, supposedly underlining they were only jokes.

Chief Araujo argues, however, that these kinds of postings—especially in the political environment of today—are never jokes and so are charged Atkins.

Accused of making “violent” threats online, the 46-year-old West Palm Beach man had one of the postings titled “America needs one good bullet to be saved.”
