After fainting onstage in Connecticut last month, Fatman Scoop died. The medical examiner has disclosed his cause of death.
Scoop, born Isaac Freeman III, died of hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, according to a Connecticut M.E. rep. They believe this death was natural.
TMZ said that Scoop fell onstage at a Hamden, CT gig at the end of August, when fans videotaped him jumping up to the turntables and tumbling off.
The rapper was taken off the stage on a stretcher and taken to the hospital by paramedics, but they failed to resuscitate him.
