For Tyre Sampson’s fatal fall from a drop tower ride, his parents get millions of dollars (UPDATE)

Tyre Sampson plummeted almost 100 feet from a drop tower attraction while on spring vacation in Orlando. March 2022 was the month. He was 14 when he and his football squad went to ICON Park.

According to NBC News, the boy’s family filed a lawsuit against ICON, Eagle Drop Slingshot, the ride’s owner, and Funtime Handels GmbH a month after the child passed away.

Tyre Sampson’s parents are millionaires as of Thursday, December 5, thanks to their agreement with Funtime. Following a quick trial, a Florida jury allegedly awarded the family $310 million.

Tyre’s parents also reached an undisclosed settlement with the other two accused last year. Tyre’s father and mother will each get an equal share of the most recent award, which is $155 million.

The Funtime settlement is a “step forward” in bringing these kinds of entertainment firms responsible, according to family lawyer Ben Crump.
