French restaurant accused of “denying access” to Serena Williams and her family

As a torch bearer at the opening ceremony and a spectator at every event with her family, the tennis great has been in the French city since the end of July.

Williams reportedly recounted an incident that occurred at the Peninsula hotel in Paris on Monday night over Twitter.

“Oh no! @peninsulaparis The tennis star added, “I’ve been denied access to rooftop to eat in an empty restaurant of nicer places…

but never with my kids.” She went on to say, “Always a first,” and she sent a picture of the hotel’s sign. Many internet fans immediately stepped forward to support Williams.

Who gets refused when they’re Serena Williams? (lol) That’s what one Twitter user put it.
Another person chimed in, saying, “I’m glad you saved money there.”
