Geno Smith injury update: Due to a knee injury, the Seahawks quarterback may not return.

Halfway through the third quarter of the Seattle Seahawks’ “Sunday Night Football” game against the Green Bay Packers, quarterback Geno Smith was sent to the locker room due to an injury.

On a first-down pass attempt, Smith threw the ball away and was hit low by two Packers defenders. The Seattle training crew provided him with medical assistance after he stayed on the field for a few more seconds.

Shortly after reaching the sideline, Smith entered the blue medical tent, but he left the field on his own.

The veteran quarterback was seen making his way back to the Seahawks’ locker room a few minutes later on NBC’s broadcast.

Smith did not return to the game despite the Seahawks designating him as questionable to return due to a knee injury. Smith was replaced for Seattle by backup quarterback Sam Howell.
