Judy Garland’s “Wizard of Oz” Ruby Slippers Bring a Record $32.5 Million at Auction

The most costly item of movie memorabilia ever is the ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz (1939). On Saturday,

December 7, Heritage Auctions reported that the shoes, which Judy Garland wore as Dorothy in the well-known movie, had sold for $28 million .

At auction in Dallas, or $32.5 million including taxes and fees. These days, they are regarded as the most priceless item in movie memorabilia.
