Lady Gaga has a surprising early Christmas treat for her Little Monsters. The superstar’s song of “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.”

Which has a soulful rock spin on a timeless classic, surfaced overnight on streaming sites Monday, December 16, without any previous notice.

Banging drums and tumbling organ riffs propel the A Star Is Born actress’ upbeat rendition, which opens with bright electric guitars and some rock ‘n’ roll scatting from Gaga.

The holiday recording accompanies the vocalist’s appearance on the surprise Apple TV+ special A Carpool Karaoke Christmas with Zane Lowe, on which she performed.
