Netflix Subscribers Are Enthralled With New “Better Than Walking Dead” Zombie Series

The Walking Dead’s first season debuted in 2010 with much fanfare and spawned several spinoffs and video games.

The drama centers on a gang of survivors in a post-apocalyptic world where the undead, referred to as “walkers,” wreak havoc on society.

Although TWD fans are certain that no zombie series is comparable, there is one that is.

On social media, a fan gushed over the new series, writing: “This is the best zombie show ever filmed in my opinion.” Another concurred, saying,

“I really liked this show.” Excellent characters, intensity, and constant action. “So far, it’s what The Walking Dead should be,” said another admirer. Even Stephen King,

The “King of Horror,” was delighted, writing: “No long, fraught discussions.” There is no backstory, thus there won’t be any incessant flashbacks. No grumpy teenagers.

There is little dialogue. A lot of moving footage captured with a single handheld camera. This might teach showrunners a lot.

Jaime King, Justin Chu Cary, Christine Lee, Sal Velez Jr., Kelsey Flower, Erika Hau, Gwynyth Walsh, Mustafa Alabssi,

Edsson Morales, and Zoe Marlett are among the cast members of the Karl Schaefer and John Hyams-created sitcom. Rose, a mother who becomes estranged from her daughter Anna, is portrayed by Jaime King.

She travels to North America with a group of survivors in order to survive the end of the world. View the Black Summer trailer here:
