Nick Cannon recalled his identity struggles about Mariah Carey being the “Alpha” in their marriage, asking himself, “Is That What My Life Is Supposed To Be?”

Mariah’s success made him question who he was. “I would lay up at night thinking, like, ‘Is this who I am?'” he recalled. Am I Mariah’s partner? Is my life meant to be like that?

Despite admitting that there was “nothing wrong” with being “Mariah’s man,” Nick said he became “comfortable” with her being the relationship’s primary provider.

He made a joke, saying, “She has islands, and I’m getting up at noon, and people are bringing me steaks on a platter.”

The 44-year-old said that once Moroccan and Monroe were born in 2011, he started thinking about the “hierarchy” of his family, which only made his fears worse.
