Nintendo has finally released a first look at the Switch 2 after months of anticipation, but the announcement has drawn interest for the same reason.
The ability to play on the move made the first Nintendo Switch, which debuted in 2017, an immediate favorite among gamers.
Of course, it is also possible to attach the console to the tv, but Switch gamers seemed to really like the handheld mode. Nintendo revealed the Switch 2, the console’s replacement, today (January 16).
According to a Nintendo press release, the Nintendo Switch 2 can play both digital and physical Nintendo Switch titles in addition to Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive games.
It’s possible that certain Nintendo Switch games won’t work or be completely compatible with the Switch 2. Information will be released later on the Nintendo website.
