Influencer Amanda Cooper and her siblings subtly turned off the camera during a family picture session, sparking an internet controversy about a Christmas card hoax.
Last Friday, December 6, Amanda, who has more than 14,000 followers on Instagram, posted a high-quality snapshot of her large family on her profile.
At first look, the image seemed harmless, but it was really a staged outdoor family snapshot of multiple parents, kids, and babies wearing matching costumes.
The words “When your mom/mother-in-law forces you to take professional family photos three times a year…” were superimposed on the photograph by Amanda.
A clever surprise was revealed when the picture was followed by other close-ups taken from various perspectives: many family members could be seen quietly flipping the bird.
