Raven-Symoné is talking candidly about her experience having breast reduction surgery when she was fifteen years old.
The former Disney Channel actress, 38, commented on her upbringing in front of the camera and the pressure.
To conform to a certain beauty standard on the Dec. 5 episode of her Tea Time with Raven & Miranda podcast, which she co-hosts with her wife, 37-year-old Miranda Pearman-Maday.
At the recommendation of the adults in her life, Symoné disclosed that she had the first of two breast reduction procedures.
I dropped all the way from a triple D to a B. She stated that her father also “strongly suggested” that she get the surgery done, saying, “Someone said I needed to do it in order to get a show.”
Symoné also said that she decided to get liposuction done concurrently to try to stop people from talking negatively about her size.
