Ross Ulbricht, who was sentenced to life in prison for creating the dark web portal Silk Road, has been pardoned by President Donald Trump.

Trump’s second term in the White House has seen him go to work right away. The 78-year-old said on Truth Social Tuesday night that he has given Ross Ulbricht,

The creator of the notorious Silk Road dark web bazaar, a “full and unconditional” pardon. Trump tweeted, “I just called Ross William Ulbricht’s mother to let her know.

That it was my pleasure to have just signed a full and unconditional pardon of her son, Ross, in honor of her and the Libertarian Movement, which supported me so strongly.”

“The scum who worked to convict him were some of the same lunatics who were involved in the modern-day weaponization of government against me,” he continued in a scathing remark.
