Sadly, John Amos passed away at the age of 84.

Regrettably, John Amos, a renowned actor from both big and small screens, passed away at the age of 84. K.C. Amos, Amos’ son, reportedly verified the information to The Hollywood Reporter.

The actor’s son released the following statement: “I share with you my deep grief at my father’s transition.

“He was a globally beloved guy with an incredibly kind and kind heart. He is regarded as their TV father by many admirers. He had a happy life.

His exceptional acting performances in movies and television will carry on his legacy.” Amos passed away in Los Angeles on August 21 from natural causes, according to his son as well.

Probably Amos’s most well-known performance was as James Evans Sr. on the ground-breaking television series Good Times, which ran from 1974 to 1976.
