The first attorney with Down syndrome discloses the kind of law she plans to practice.

After completing law school, a lady with Down syndrome became the first lawyer with the disability in her city and maybe all of Latin America, proving her skeptics wrong.

It was announced earlier this year that Ana Victoria Espino De Santiago had graduated from Mexico’s Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas and was now a licensed attorney.

Completing law school is not easy, as one would think. And only when learning challenges are taken into account do the hurdles in one’s path become more significant.

However, in addition to striking a blow to her doubters by graduating, Ana Victoria has set her eyes on an even more remarkable objective that is just as motivating as you could anticipate.

Born in Guadalupe, Zacatecas, the 25-year-old is said to be the first trained lawyer with Down syndrome in Zacatecas, if not all of Latin America. She received her law degree in July.

“I really enjoy the law because it protects people with disabilities, people’s rights, and my own rights,” Ana told NTR TV.
