Joy Behar is dealing with the fallout from a recent defamatory allegation against Elon Musk, which has left the ABC personality rushing to apologize and stay out of legal hot water.
Behar is the most recent “The View” co-host to go into troubled waters after claiming absurdly that Elon Musk supported apartheid while residing in his native South Africa.
Racists and bigots like Musk may have persecuted the nation’s mostly Black populace for decades if it weren’t for the “great Nelson Mandela,” according to Behar.
Behar said she “didn’t really know” if an allegation that “Musk was pro-apartheid” when living overseas was accurate, but she felt obligated to mention it nevertheless.
Before the great Nelson Mandela ended apartheid, he grew up at a period when it was fully implemented. He could or might not have been alive at the time.
“He may have been a young man,” Behar said on Thursday’s show. Thus, [he] is operating with that mindset. According to what I understand, he supported apartheid.
