Kaylee Muthart, 20, of Anderson, South Carolina, will never be able to see again and will need to live her whole life using prostheses.
In addition to working and consuming marijuana with her pals on the weekends, Ms. Muthart had been an exceptional student who had even earned a place in the National Honor Society.
She was cautious to avoid “more serious drugs” since she was aware that addiction ran in her family.
At the age of 17, Ms. Muthart dropped out of school with the intention of working more and saving money for college, but her choice drove her life into a tailspin.
