World-champion figure skaters that were a part of the terrible American Airlines jet disaster in Washington, DC

According to reports, two world-champion figure skaters were part of Friday night’s horrific aircraft accident in Washington, DC.

At around 9 p.m. local time on January 29, a US Army Black Hawk helicopter and an American Airlines aircraft collided at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport,

Causing both to fall into the Potomac River. Three troops were on board the helicopter, while the airliner had 60 passengers and four crew members.

Rescuers are still searching in subfreezing weather, and the BBC says that 19 dead have been found so far. Two past world champions were mentioned.

As passengers by state-run Russian news outlet TASS, while US Figure Skating verified that numerous members of the skating community were on board the aircraft.

 

“We won’t see each other again after we’re gone,” asserts Arnold Schwarzenegger, who considers Heaven to be a “fantasy.”

Marianne Faithfull is away; the legendary 1960s singer and Rolling Stones muse is “deeply missed.”
