Lynda Hardiman-Pearce, a cruise passenger, thinks the deceased man was on a stag do and that a “army medic” attempted to save his life by administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
She said that ‘hen and stag parties generating pandemonium’ on the ship caused the incident to occur shortly after the ship sailed from Southampton at 6 p.m.
“I was on the ship for a trip to Zeebrugge in Belgium and returned to Southampton,” Ms. Hardiman-Pearce stated.
“We were in a bar onboard on Saturday night, and I was talking to someone while I waited to be served,” she recalled.
He informed me that his son, an army medic, had attempted to assist by performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation on a collapsed man but was unable to do so.
