Nicole Kidman announced the passing of her cherished mother just before receiving the Best Actress award for her performance in Babygirl at the Venice Film Festival, which concluded on Saturday. The 57-year-old actress,
who portrays a high-ranking New York corporate executive engaged in a daring romance with her somewhat younger intern, portrayed by Harris Dickinson, was not present at the event.
However, instead of speaking herself, the actor’s director Halina Reijn delivered a statement, disclosing that Nicole’s mother Janelle passed away at the age of 83 while Nicole was in Venice.
The statement said that upon arriving in Venice, the individual received the news that their mother, Janelle Ann Kidman, had just gone away.
‘I am in a state of profound surprise and I must attend to my family, but this honor is dedicated to her.
