A note on Michaela Mabinty DePrince’s Instagram page announced her passing. She was a dancer who rose from war-torn Sierra Leone to prominence on a global scale.
The celebrity shared a black and white photo of herself on Instagram along with a lengthy comment that praised her
“grace, purpose, and strength” and mentioned how much work she put into both her dance and her charitable endeavors.
Her team observes that while she had a brief life, everyone who met her will always be touched by her legacy.
In the post, no cause of death was mentioned. During the civil conflict in Sierra Leone, MMD was moved from her birthplace to an orphanage.
