Authorities said that a corpse was discovered in the Caloosahatchee River on Monday, tragically ending the hunt for a missing Florida lady.
Arielle Valdes, a 21-year-old resident of North Fort Myers, went missing on Wednesday while out for a jog in her neighborhood.
This prompted a community-wide search operation that included aerial, ground, and marine searches.
The search was conducted by marine boats, aircraft units, K9s, several drones, the Forensics Division using an ANDE fast DNA instrument, and the Major Crimes Unit.
