In the first episode of his new program Cast Away, Phillip Schofield seems to have made fun of Holly Willoughby, his former co-presenter and closest friend.
The 62-year-old will soon appear on television again in the Channel 5 series, in which he is abandoned on a tropical island for ten days while reflecting on the events of the previous sixteen months in the wake of his disgrace.
The former anchor of This Morning made his return known earlier this week; Channel 5 described the show as a “celebrity marooned on an inhabited tropical island off the coast of Madagascar for 10 days.”
The host is asked why he wants to take on the task of living alone on the island in the first episode, which will premiere on Monday, September 30. He responds,
“I think there’d be an awful lot of people that hope I never come back.” In addition, he spoke about how “lucky” he had been over his four decades in show business,
