Unfortunately, the well-liked host contracted a stomach ailment over the weekend. Gayle King intervened to provide Winfrey’s explanation for her absence.
A spokesman for Winfrey informed CNN in a statement on Tuesday that “Ms. Winfrey is recovering following a stomach virus and received.

That was shared on Gayle King’s Instagram page that she “couldn’t keep enough water down to keep her hydrated,” which prompted her to visit a hospital.
