At the age of 68, Ángel Salazar, who gained fame as Chi Chi in the cult film *Scarface* in 1983, departed from this life. According to his agent and close friend Ann Wingsong,
Salazar, who portrayed Al Pacino’s devoted sidekick in the movie, “died in his sleep over the weekend at a friend’s home in Brooklyn.”
After *Scarface*, Salazar went on to have a successful acting career, starring with Tom Hanks in *Punchline* and rejoining Pacino in *Carlito’s Way*.
His roles in these movies demonstrated his range as an actor and brought him notoriety in the entertainment industry.
