If Iran were to murder Donald Trump during his second term, the repercussions would be made clear. The 78-year-old has made headlines since taking office as the 47th President on January 20.
Trump has made his return to the White House everything from quiet, from cutting off government funds, terminating birthright citizenship, and pulling out of the Paris Climate Accord.
The divisive leader revealed his most recent audacious claim on Tuesday, February 4, saying that if Iran tries to kill him, a plan is already in place to “obliterate” it.
The statement comes after the Justice Department claimed in November 2024 that it had thwarted a murder-for-hire plan against Trump that was supported by Iran.
The Associated Press claims that 51-year-old Farhad Shakeri, who is still at large in Iran according to Sky News, informed police about the purported murder plot.
