Levi Axtell, 27, was covered in blood and holding his head in his hands when he went into the sheriff’s office to confess to killing Lawrence Scully, who had been jailed for abusing.
A six-year-old child in 1979. Axtell, a resident of Cook County, Minnesota, had long accused Scully of parking his vehicle in areas frequented by children.
In 2018, Axtell asked for and was granted an order of protection against the elderly man, but it was subsequently revoked.
