Less than a year after another granddaughter died in her care, a grandmother is jailed when a newborn is left in a hot vehicle.

After her baby granddaughter tragically perished in a hot vehicle while in her care, a Florida grandmother was given a five-year prison term.

The grandmother was seen on CCTV buckling the child into the car seat before making the 10-minute drive home to Wauchula.

After parking and rolling up the windows, the grandma went inside to practice on the piano and chat with her dog.

WFTS reported that the temperature had risen to 90 degrees on that specific November day, and Uriel tragically died inside the overheated automobile.
