Adam Simjee, 22, was slain in Alabama’s Talladega National Forest while traveling with his girlfriend, Mikayla Paulus.
When Simjee stopped on the side of the road to assist Yasmine Hider, who informed the two that her car had broken down, he was slain.
After an hour or so of helping to fix the car, the couple realized it wouldn’t start again, so Hider pulled a gun on them and told them to get off the road and get into the woods.
After she insisted that the pair put down their phones and give up their bank account details, Simjee took out his own firearm and started shooting back at the robber.
