A Maryland couple will spend years in prison for neglecting their seven young children, causing one of them to deteriorate and pass unexpectedly.
According to court papers DC News Now was able to get, Dominique Moore, 47, was sentenced this week to 30 years with 23 years suspended,
Which entails serving seven years in jail and five years on probation. According to the Washington Post, Moore’s wife, Cynthia Moore, 42, was given a 21-year jail term in February.
According to the publication, Moore and his spouse, Cynthia Moore, were charged with involuntary manslaughter, second-degree depraved-heart murder, and child negligence.
According to the Washington Post, Dominique entered a guilty plea to child negligence charges in November, while Cynthia was found guilty at trial of child maltreatment but exonerated of murder.
When Cynthia Moore reported that her daughter was experiencing breathing difficulties and had fainted, first responders were sent to the couple’s home in 2022.
