A ‘lovely mum’ lost her life on her first day of work after being pulled beneath the wheels of a bus she was attempting to board.
On October 22 of last year, Helaleh Cheraghmakani, also known as Hailey, was hit by a bus in Nottingham’s downtown, resulting in several injuries.
Hailey, 34, was rushing to catch the Nottingham City Transport (NCT) Navy Line 49 bus when the incident occurred at the intersection of George Street and Lower Parliament Street.
According to testimony given at an inquest into her death held today at Nottingham Coroners’ Court.
Hailey went to the UK in September 2023 “for a better future” with her husband, Ramin Dehbandi, and daughter, Liana.
