‘Embarrassed’ is the response to the public presentation of a massive sculpture of a naked lady in a blue metropolis.

The newest and tallest structure in San Francisco’s Embarcadero Plaza is a 45-foot monument of a naked lady.

The public art group Illuminate unveiled the piece, called “R-Evolution,” on Thursday with lights, music, and performance art.

The statue, which was intended to symbolize compassion and strength, was made to shine at night and seem to “breathe” with internal motors.

Rather, it has provoked criticism, online jokes, and inquiries about the city’s objectives.

The stainless steel figure, which was first made for Burning Man in 2015 by sculptor Marco Cochrane.

Now stands outside the Ferry Building and casts a lengthy (and anatomically realistic) shadow over a city where spectacle seems to affect fewer and fewer people.
