Accused business owners claim they were “unaware” that selling human body parts online was against the law.

Accused of selling human body parts online, two company owners said they were “unaware” that it was against the law.

Officials from the Orange City Police Department started investigating the operations of Wicked Wonderland, a curio business located in Florida, back in December 2023.

According to a charging document, authorities decided to conduct more investigation after receiving a tip that a nearby company was “attempting to sell human bones.”

Due to the fact that the tip had pictures of a Facebook page that “advertised various human bones for sale, complete with pricing information,” the business was in hot trouble.

Eventually, it was found that the store’s proprietors, Ashley Lelesi and Kymberlee Schopper, were selling human remains on Facebook Marketplace.

Following her death at the age of 39, Michelle Trachtenberg’s official cause of death was disclosed.
