Trump’s harm to Social Security, according to Biden, is “breathtaking.”

In one of his first public appearances since leaving the White House, former President Joe Biden delivered a forceful critique of the Trump administration’s attempts to reduce Social Security on Tuesday.

He described the extent of the harm the White House has caused to the program as “breathtaking” and “devastating,” which is a stark contrast to his efforts to defend and “make it stronger” while in office.

“Well, observe what’s taking place. This new administration has accomplished so much in less than 100 days. done so much harm, and so much, it’s kind of amazing that it might occur so quickly,” Biden remarked.

Biden refrains from mentioning the name of his successor.

The 82-year-old frequently seemed quiet during his roughly 30-minute speech, which included multiple outbursts in support of Social Security and its beneficiaries.

He merely alluded to President Donald Trump in passing by referring to him as “this guy.”
