After spending the night in the desert, a ranch dog saved an Arizona kid.

After straying from his home and spending the night in the high desert of northern Arizona, a 2-year-old kid was finally rescued by a ranch dog and is now safely at home.

When Boden Allen, a toddler, left his parents’ land on Monday, he was thrust into the harshness of the high desert, where predators like mountain lions emerge and temperatures dip at night.

“During the search last night, two mountain lions were even spotted,” Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Megan Fitzgerald said.

Although search and rescue crews from Yavapai County deployed rapidly, Fitzgerald pointed out that these situations frequently do not end happily.

“It’s a rarity, so it is not every day that we get to sit here and talk about a happy ending where the child was safe and located,” Fitzgerald stated.

Seven miles from home, Boden was discovered the following morning by a devoted ranch dog named Buford.

After declaring that she will not leave her daughter alone with a male relative, a woman splits opinions.
