Following the intruder’s attempted break-in, the little girl assisted Westminster police in apprehending and apprehending him. Authorities have made the 911 call’s audio file public.
Police in Orange County are praising a nine-year-old girl for her courage after she called 911 in response to an intruder attempting to break into her house.
The little girl, whose identity has not been made public, contacted 911 on her smartphone on Friday to report that someone was breaking into her house.
She also provided the operator with a play-by-play of the events, according to a news statement issued by the Westminster Police Department.
According to the police, the youngster was upstairs while her father, who was in the kitchen, and other family members were there.
Before the girl’s father encountered him in the kitchen, the intruder, who was identified as Jorge Mendoza Diaz, reportedly “smashed through a window” downstairs and entered the house.
