A mother from Texas is accused of killing a 17-month-old girl by dropping her from a third-story hotel balcony.

A “skinning” knife was discovered in a nearby trash can, according to the police, who also claimed to have received video evidence showing the toddler “falling from what appear[ed] to be the third floor and landing in the grass and rolling onto the concrete sidewalk.”

It has been alleged that a Texas mother killed her 17-month-old daughter by letting her fall from a hotel balcony.

Channel Yonko, 30, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with capital murder for the death of her daughter, Hannah Yonko, according to a news statement and affidavit from the Galveston Police Department.

They reacted to allegations of “unresponsive child bleeding” and “abandoned child” on Wednesday morning, according to the police.

The toddler was covered in a blanket on the sidewalk when the cops arrived, and there was a “small pool of blood on the street,” according to Galveston police.

The 17-month-old, eventually identified as Hannah, was taken by authorities to the hospital and declared dead shortly after.
