A video of a black lady getting ejected from a family-friendly restaurant for wearing a “inappropriate” dress has surfaced on social media as Americans continue to engage a national dialogue about race and racial justice. The woman said that a significant portion of the issue was related to her race.
On a Friday in Birmingham, Alabama, Aireal Bonner was at Southern Kitchen & Bar when her attire attracted unwelcome attention.
Bonner claimed she was “rudely mistreated” by the restaurant employees, who expelled her due to her wardrobe, although she didn’t think it was her clothes that caused the problem.
Rather, she posted a video of the event to Facebook and labeled the establishment as “racist.”
The video that Bonner took and shared on social media begins with Bonner and a business employee discussing the customer’s clothing.
